On Moving and Following

I was reading about Elijah and the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17 and God spoke to me very strongly about moving in the purposes of God according to His will.
Here are my insights or rather what I heard:
* Elijah didn’t move until God moved him. God had directed him to Kerith ravine earlier and he stayed there until God told him to move. [v. 9]
* God moved Elijah strategically. [ Luke 4:24-25]
* Elijah did not hear from God and then merely sit back waiting for it. He brought the word of God into fruition by his initiative and action. [v. 10-15]

if God does tell you something just as Elijah heard from God, the xpected thing is to get going. but what if u have not understood clearly or what do u do if u know that there is a call on your life and that there is anointing for fulfilling that call, but u donot know what needs to be done. ur insight into this would be helpful

thank you for your comment. Elijah went to Zarephath. if a person knows what God has called them to do, i think they should simply do it in any way they can. it need not be a great, well defined start but the key is to keep moving. if we dont do anything God can't direct us anyway, besides we tend to get distracted also. one can find opportunities to do in daily life and if you arent getting any, create them. if one believes God has called them to do something, just start doing it and be full of the Holy Spirit in their lives, living everyday life in communion with God and him not just being limited to a time of prayer. Also, speaking in tongues is very vital becoz it is through it that we edify our Spirit. i think i will do a post on it to do this subject justice.
hope this helps.
