Are you on the top??

"On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided" Genesis 22:14b

I thank God that there is no lack on the mountain of the Lord. But what does it mean to be on the mountain of the Lord?

To understand this, it is beneficial to look at the incident from which this phrase occurs, when Abraham, in complete obedience went up the mountain to sacrifice Isaac, his promised son. He was ready to be obedient and faithful to the end sparing nothing for himself and so the lamb for the sacrifice was provided for him.

Though there are many meanings that one might give to being on the mountain of the Lord, one of the most significant is the fact that it means that we are walking in complete obedience and faithfulness to God sparing nothing in our life out of his authority. This is exactly what it also means to be full of the Holy Spirit, that we are filled with nothing but Him, whether it be a clean and ordered bedroom or a principle that we may hold on to.

And if we are, whatever it is, will be provided on the mountain of the Lord.
