Back again!!!

Seems like I am the one returning to my blog every time...

This time life has taken me through continued teaching, pregnancy, 9 hours of labours - one of the most intense experiences of my life, my chubby lil Rihanna, breastfeeding for 11 months, connecting with my cute little gift from God and seeing her little person grow and my doctoral research in corpus.

So, I am about to leave for Kolkata for week long workshop on corpus annotation and etc etc...I am hoping it gives me the breakthrough I need and the trigger I am desperate for.

Of course, married life goes on...and on... and on... That's the new lesson I have learnt about marriage.. :) Rohan's a papa and I enjoy seeing him grow as a person as he finds his footing as a father.

So, that's it. Hope it doesn't take me too long before I come back here.

Back to Blogging

I have returned to the world of blogging after a long break of around 3 years. What brings me back are my students. Life has taken a turn and I'm back where I was a few posts ago (a few years in real time). I'm at H. M. Patel Institute, Vidyanagar, Anand, teaching MA ELT students now.

Nothing more to write for now.

A peculiar people

I loved this particular version of Titus 2:11-14 [KJV]

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

It says the church are a peculiar people because they are zealous of good works. Zeal in a lot of areas is seen in the world like workplace, family, profession, personal identity, etc, but while it is commendable to be zealous in any respect, the Bible proclaims the people of God as naturally inclined towards being zealous of good works..and that is definitely not the convention of the day..

So, be different, be peculiar, be zealous of good works.

Now what would provoke me enough to write again...

nothing but the sheer blessing of God that I've experienced this last week. At first, we had two wonderful evenings of meetings with Tony, Matthew and Chris. And then, four wonderful days of fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and men of God..i truly understood the power of covenant and covenant friendships during this last week when I met my great friend and brother Chris on his visit to India.
It was such a great time of refreshing and rejuvenation, it simply blew me away!! I am glad that God joins us to people even when they are so far away from us, probably only in terms of distance, definitely not in the Spirit. It is so comforting and at the same time awe-inspiring to think that all of us in Christ, oblivious of where we are, have all been doused into the mighty living waters to become one in Him.

Something I stumbled upon...

These are words of Sabina Wurmbrand from her book The Pastor's Wife. I think they are terrific.

Richard is aware of the danger. And every danger of which you are aware ceases to be a real danger.

After a lonnngg break..

Its almost been two and a half months since I posted anything on this blog but loads of things happened otherwise.
The biggest event, my sister, Esther got married and has gone to Scotland with her husband, Sanjiv. She is enjoying the beautiful summer weather right now and mouthing ferrero rochers all day and gloating about it to me over the internet!!
I have to teach Covenant this time round at the Bible college along with Worldviews and English which will be great fun. I still remember how Bryan Shutt had made us all fall in love with it and ofcourse, the mighty hesed of God. I am really excited about it and if any of you have strayed upon my blog, do pray for me that I am able to do justice to it.
My second year at MA is still in mid-air because Part-I results are not out yet but they will be out soon by the looks of things.
So, there you are, now you have the main updates of things on my side.
I hope I am back here, composing another post soon.
